After a lot of thought, we have decided to pause the Fort Hill Brewery Half Marathon for 2026, with plans to revisit the possibility of bringing the event back in 2027.

This was not an easy decision. As a small team with limited capacity, we are committed to delivering events at the highest level. For 2026, that means focusing our time and energy on the Black Birch Vineyard 10 Miler and the Happy Valley Half Marathon & 5K, where we can continue to provide the best possible race experience.

We are incredibly grateful to the Fort Hill Brewery and to everyone who has run, volunteered, and supported the event over the years. It has truly been a special race.

Thank you for being such a supportive running community. We hope to see you at the Black Birch Vineyard 10 Miler or the Happy Valley Half Marathon & 5K in 2026.

Scenic roads, fresh beer, local food, a world renowned music scene and wonderfully diverse people can all be found in the Pioneer Valley. That is why we have partnered with the Fort Hill Brewery to create this race to bring all of the greatness of the valley into one place, at one event. Join us for the beer, join us for the course, join us to celebrate the valley and to be part of what makes it so great! 

Please note that going forward there are no refunds, deferments and/or bib transfers. If the event cannot be held as planned due to COVID, inclement weather, or other unforeseen issues, you will be granted entry into a future race at no additional charge. We will honor any deferments that have already been requested. We will always honor our commitment to you, a quality race, and an experience you will remember. 

About Fort Hill Brewery

Fort Hill Brewery has been crafting quality lagers and ales in Easthampton, MA since 2014. The brewery came to Easthampton for its pure water because they know that better water means better beer. The brewery sits amongst a panoramic view of Mount Tom which sets the stage for unforgettable events, beer tastings, live music and of course the Fort Hill Brewery Half Marathon & 5K. 

Our Cause

We are excited to provide financial support to Easthampton High School’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs. We are supporting the launch of the school’s track club from the ground up. This includes track maintenance work, equipment and anything else that the program needs to hit the ground running (sorry for the pun).

We created the Fort Hill Brewery Half Marathon because we love running and want to share that passion with you. By supporting this cause we will hopefully enable a new generation of runners to find their passion for this amazing sport. What could be better than that?
